About Me

My name is Sharon Lippmann, and I am a mother of two amazingly energetic boys, Sam and Jake, have one neurotic Australian Labradoodle, Murphy, and remain married to someone I’ve literally known my whole life.  He’s often referred to as Sharon’s husband or my husband, but his name is Mark.

I have always been a writer, and have finally decided to actually do something about it.  In, the spirit of  ”you’re never too old…”  I’ve written my first novel, which I am currently editing.  I also have a children’s book series in the works that I am co-authoring with my 9 year old son, Sam.

I’ve lived in France, Israel and Japan and would pick up and move to another country in a heartbeat.  Don’t get me wrong.  I’m very patriotic.  I just love learning how to ask, “Where’s the bathroom?” in lots of different languages.

I believe in our judicial system, the death penalty as long as there is conclusive DNA evidence, and a woman’s right to choose.  (I can not believe it’s the 21st century and Roe v. Wade is still a campaign hot button.)  I like to think of myself as a “realist” and remain hopeful that we will eventually have a great leader.

I am crazy for reality TV, any quality programming on Showtime or HBO (Dexter, Homeland, True Blood, ect…), teen-angst flicks (i.e. Never Been Kissed), a good period piece film (Elizabeth), and any action movie starring Jason Statham will do.  I love that guy.

Pizza, dark chocolate, tequila, Fresca and blueberries are all I need to exist.

And, finally, I try to live my life on the side of what is right and the right thing to do, which often results in some sort of mental trauma that gets analyzed to death in therapy, but hopefully I’ll have good karma.

On the outside, my life may seem like suburban bliss, but looks can often be deceiving.  When reading this blog, if you happen to chuckle once or twice, nod your head in agreement or disagreement, or feel that “you’re not alone,” then this blog will truly be an accomplishment.

So, get ready, because  I can’t wait to share it all with you; the good, the bad, the ugly, the beautiful, the ridiculous and lots of funny.

xoxo
