Priceless

Here’s an update on the Baba Promise:

Jake and Baba

Jake and Baba are still together.

I haven’t been too successful either.  Consecutive days wearing some form of workout gear:  11. Actual days on the treadmill: 0.  Number of days thinking about working out:  too many to count.

Me

Oh well.

Sam appears to be the successful one.  He hasn’t been ignoring me as much in the morning, which means we’ve been making it by the first bell. Now, I’m only screaming, “Brush your teeth and get your sneakers on,” like three or four times.

Sam School

That's right. I'm making good on my promise.

Although, much of his success is due to the fact that I no longer have to walk Jake into class. In a word, fabulous.

This has transformed our mornings.  How so, you ask?  Well, it’s shaved about twelve minutes off my morning prep time. And, in the morning, every second counts before you get out that door, especially if you’re not a morning person.

But, you know what’s been the best part of this transformation?  I get to drive those kids to school in my pajamas, sans brasserie, without a stitch of make-up. Now that’s priceless.

How are your mornings priceless?
